Getting Kodi 4K Video in working format is not always possible due to the large file sizes and bandwidth restraints. However, it will be more common in the future and the Kodi 4K video add-on has a head start on the competition!

I get requests all the time for Kodi 4K, high definition, and Dolby 5.1 audio content all the time. While I try my best to accommodate, the truth is that not a lot of add-ons are offering 4K content. The upload times and bandwidth it takes is often not worth it. And a bigger file size means more chance of buffering, which users don’t want either.
Luckily, there is a new Kodi 4K add-on called 4K Media that is offering high definition quality content to those with the hardware and internet speeds to handle it. That means Kodi 4K Video, Kodi 5.1 DTS surround sound, and Kodi HD 3D movies as well! Thanks to Kodi Community for the tip!
Inside of the Kodi 4K Media add-on, there are four categories: 3D HD, 3D HD Live (Coming Soon), 4K, 4K Live TV, and HD Movies. The live sections don’t offer a lot of content because there isn’t a lot of live content in 3D or 4K! However, the 3D HD, 4K, and HD movies will have something for everyone!
Because Kodi 4K video content files are big anyway, the files don’t have the audio stripped down to 2 channels! That means that if you don’t have a 4K TV to enjoy the Kodi 4K quality, you can still watch all of the videos in 1080p high definition with the added bonus of Dolby 5.1 surround sound!
How to Install 4K Media Kodi Addon
This addon is a third-party Kodi addon not supported by the Kodi Foundation. Though Kodi add-ons don’t story any files or host any content, streams from this addon are scraped from websites that fall in a grey legal area.
Because it is not legal to stream this content in every country and location, we are not posting a how-to guide on this website. We believe that this is the safest move for Kodi.Guide because we know that there are parties looking to crack down on websites promoting piracy and we are not one of those.
