How can I add History Channel? I have YoutubeTV and a couple of Roku boxes. What is the easiest, and cheapest, way to view current season History Channel shows, given what I have? Thanks in advance. Can I buy History channel on its own?

  1. Everyone has recommended philo which is definitely the right answer here. I also wanted to remind you that if you signup with philo it should give you access to the history channel app as well. I’ve never tried it for history channel but I know for A&E for example you can get access to a bunch of past seasons/episodes.

  2. Probably [ATT’s Watch TV](https://www.attwatchtv.com/faqs) at $15.00 (May still be available for free for some ATT subscribers but not sure) but for $1 more, [Philo](https://try.philo.com/) has a better app and a DVR and seems to be better liked. And no, History Channel is not available on its own. They do have an app and some content may be unlocked (and therefore free) but a lot of stuff isn’t.

You can [buy episodes](https://play.google.com/store/movies/collection/broadcaster_HISTORY?clp=ChsKGQoTYnJvYWRjYXN0ZXJfSElTVE9SWRAHGAQ%3D%3AS%3AANO1ljIBPUY&gsr=Ch0KGwoZChNicm9hZGNhc3Rlcl9ISVNUT1JZEAcYBA%3D%3D%3AS%3AANO1ljIGR9k&hl=en) but with some shows $20 a season, that may not be worth it.

Hulu (will soon be $5.99 per month) has some shows.

You can also [look at this page on Reelgood.com](https://reelgood.com/tv/source/history_tveverywhere) to see what is free on the History app and what is on Hulu. Also check Justwatch.com.

Edit: Alot of people use both Philo and YouTube TV but if you want a different live streaming service instead of two services, look in [our guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/cordcutters/wiki/live#wiki_plans).

  3. Well Hulu with Live TV has the History channel. If you dropped YTTV and switched to Hulu that would be cheapest. But if you must keep YTTV then adding Philo is probably cheapest.
