FYI: NBC Roku app seems to have a large catalogue of old and new shows with no login required

There is a 15-second commercial once in a while but that’s it. It never asked me for cable/satellite login.

I’ve watched a couple episodes of the 1980’s Miami Vice series and an episode of the old Battlestar Galactica.

  1. What a difference between NBC and CBS!!

With CBS even a cable/satellite login is no good. Everyone has to pay them no matter what.

  2. Abc and nbc have throwback sections. Crackle and tubi tv (magnum pi, xena, hercules, a-team etc…) have lots of old shows also. Imdb tv (a free channel on amazon prime video no prime sub needed) and roku channel have some old tv series also. CW Seed has some shows. Pluto tv has an on demand section with some tv series/movies.

If your in Canada CTV also has a tv throwback section and a movies section. You can try accessing it from the US using a web browser I don’t think it has region restrictions.

  3. Thanks for the post! Added it and confirm lots of content without signing in. My internet service was cheaper to bundle with the basic (~10) cable channels, which included NBC, so I get even more after signing in.
